This issue of terminating a pregnancy has always been a global concern and has attracted a lot of debates on whether there is legal or illegal abortion. I feel that abortion should be declared illegal and no government should allow such activities within its borders. Various agents of socialization have affected my perception of this issue which mainly include family, mass media, and peers. I have been brought up in a Christian family that believes in righteous living. I always associate abortion with murder which is among the things that we have been always taught to avoid since childhood. I also grew up understanding that a child is a blessing from God and always needs protection. I, therefore, see abortion as a horrible sin that should not be tolerated.My perception of abortion has also been affected by the mass media as there are many magazines, movies, websites, and Television shows that have been discussing the issue of abortion severally.
