Telemedicine is a technological application that facilitates remote provision of healthcare services by helping healthcare providers diagnose, treat and monitor patients’ response to the medication and treatment process from the comfort of their homes. The technology involves two-way communication between the healthcare professional and the patient through audio-visual means. Telemedicine has played vital role in solving several severe medical cases, 80% of which have been successful (Fekete et al., 2021). Especially, those who have mobility challenges and unfavorable proximity to the healthcare facilities, telemedicine has made it easy for them to access quality medical care. This paper describes an example in which telemedicine has been used to solve a respiratory case.
