Madden Course HIST125 Technology Transformation Date 10/15/2014 The Role of the Church in Western Technology The idea of the church and technology over the years has been viewed as an impossible combination. Considering that the church dwells mostly on the human person and his relationship with God, many people assume that God and not technology should be the muscle to aid humanity. Scholars in the past couple of centuries however, realize the importance of coordinating spiritual knowledge and experience in creating technology. In any case, these scholars acknowledge the presence of technology in the minds of many faithful men in the Holy Book (The Bible). Furthermore, these scholars themselves explained the relationship between Christianity and intellect. According to Albert Einstein, it is not possible to separate the gift that creates technology from the giver of that gift who is God. In his study of the gospels, the genius realized that by simply reading, one felt the presence of Jesus in the words.
