Interpersonal CommunicationAbstract:Communication is an essential part of living. It is the process of giving or exchanging of information, signals, or messages as by talk, gestures, or writing. It is the process of sharing ideas, information, and messages with others in a particular time and place. Communication can be verbal, non verbal, written, visual communication and electronic communication (telephone calls, electronic mail, cable television, or satellite broadcasts). It is basically a two-way process of exchanging ideas or information.This paper highlights my views and feeling that I have encountered in my real life in respect on interpersonal communication.The Interpersonal Imperative“Have you ever thought about why you communicate? Psychologist William Schutaz (1966) developed interpersonal needs theory, which asserts that our tendency to create and sustain relationships depends on how well they meet three basic needs. The first need is for affection, the desire to give and receive love and liking. The second need is for inclusion, the desire to be social and to be included in groups, the third need is for control, which a desire to influence the people and events in our lives.” (Julia,2009).Interpersonal communication is generally involved between two or three people.
