Similarities. 1. Christianity was not a new religion but the sequel of Jud aism. 2. Most Christian concepts were taken from the Jewish Tanakh. 3. Ten Command ments that are the basics of the Christian morality are know to every Jewish person as ten main command ments which were given to the Jewish people by God on the Mount Sinai. Differences. 1. Christianity supports the d octrine that non-Christians will be punished and wont get a place in Heaven. Jud aism believes that a righteous non-Jewish surely will get a place in Heaven. 2. The most important id ea of Christianity is the faith in Jesus as a savior. This faith gives people an opportunity to be saved . In Jud aism the highest form of being close to God is an action but not feelings and faith. Faith must show itself in d eed s and not in word s. 3. The Jewish people believe in God only. They believe that good and evil comes from God . Christians believe in God as a source of good and in Satan as a source of evil. 4. Jud aism believes that God d oesnt have a form, shape or body.
