In this assignment, I developed a professional development designed to help my fellow ELAR teachers maximize their instruction time using various techniques and strategies. I presented the professional development and evaluation with my principal mentor and fellow 6th grade ELAR teachers, so I could assess how they felt about the presentation and the need to maximize instructional time. Sharing the presentation encourages authentic reflection and improvement of professional development training. According to The National Policy Board for Educational Administrators, encouraging faculty-initiated improvement of programs and practices is recommended (2015).
