Madonna spoke on the need for women and the whole society to remained united against social injustices and oppressions. Excellent rhetoric skills are portrayed throughout the piece and assist in conveying the message as well as persuading the audience. The audience of the speech includes American citizens who attended the event and female activists throughout the United States. It is evident from the speech that the targeted individuals have some background about the occurrences of the U.S. The event occurred after Donald Trump’s inauguration and the speaker assumes that the audience is aware of his stance on women and their position in the society. The speaker assumes that the audience understands the goal of the event and therefore, she does not provide necessary explanations.
