The reasoning for goal selection, their relation to professional practice, and a strategic plan will also be presented. GoalsAccording to MIT (n.d.) goals should be written in a clear and definitive manner while describing what is to be achieved, and precise dates and times should be listed to allow the measurement of accomplishment. Relevant and attainable, but challenging goals should be utilized to encourage the wanted directional achievement (MIT, n.d.).The authors first short-term goal is: To complete this class with a B average or higher by February 1, 2020. It is measurable, relevant, and attainable for this disciplined student. This achievement will signify the end to a difficult but rewarding journey, while symbolizing the beginning of the authors next career. Passing the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Board Exam by March 15, 2020 is the authors second short-term goal.
