A Visit to a MuseumThe Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County has always been an abode of knowledge and amazement. Instigated by the desire to know more about the exhibits housed in this renowned museum I did visit the museum on 22 February, 2014 along with several of my classmates. And this visit to the museum did, to a great extent, enrich my knowledge about some rare animals that are on the verge of extinction and are seldom to be found dwelling in a zoo. Located at 900 Exposition Boulevard, the Natural History Museum’s treasures were accessed by me on the mentioned date after reaching the destination at about 11 am. The interior and the organized structure of the museum did appeal to my senses and the initial reaction that became attuned with me while entering the museum’s gallery was one of astonishment. Before entering the gallery of my choice, I was informed by a guide that the Museum administration has rendered painstaking effort to protect over 35 million specimens that date back 4.5 billion years (“About Our Museums”, n.d.).
