It signifies a person who undertakes or operates a new enterprise or venture, while also taking responsibility for the risks involved in setting up a new operation. Definition of terms An entrepreneur is a person who scans the environment for idea generation, identifies a business opportunity and marshals the necessary resources to initiate a viable business.
