She is currently not under any prescribed medication. The patient is suffering from chronic pain and has used various medications. She reports that they have failed to alleviate her pain, and some are addictive, and she would not like to be addicted to medication. At the same time, she is allergic to some, including Tylenol and codeine. She has used some of the other pain medications, including Morphine, Dilaudid, and Demerol, but she has her mind fixed on Oxycodone because she reports that it works for both her elbow pain and headaches. Other than medications, the patient has tried yoga, massages, and takes vitamins.During the assessment, the patient seems restless, does not maintain eye contact, and her speech is not well-coordinated.Past Psychiatric History: General Statement: The patient has no history of psychiatric treatment.
