Although Law enforcement organizations are mandated to adhere to strict standards by certification commissions and hiring individuals with high moral values support this mandate, it is important for each department to have a tone of ethics to reinforce high ethical behavior and its relationship with the public. The following process will be used to set pace and tone for department policy on ethical behavior. How the Ethical Policy will be EstablishedThe first and most important part is to identify the stakeholders in the ethics policy. These will include internal stakeholders such as leaders in the police department, supervisors in the department and individuals serving in the department. External stakeholders will include community leadership, actors in the criminal justice system and members of the public. After identification of the stakeholders, the chief of police department will conduct research on similar
