After analyzing several options for solving the problems of the restaurant, the owners settled on the computerized management system. Some of the considerations for the selection included the cost versus benefit of the option, the time taken to complete the project as well as the trends in the restaurant business. The new system will focus on reducing the cost of operation in the restaurant, reducing the turnaround time, reduce wastage, improving marketing as well as assist the management in decision making (Schmidt, 2009).Hoosier Burger project’s scopeThe Hoosier Burger project is intended to streamline the inventory management process at the restaurant, by automating the inventory tracking and contacting suppliers to deliver more supplies, to monitor customer purchasing trends to be able to predict customers’ preferences, to improve marketing strategy and to reduce service time through automated ordering. Other functionalities include accounting management, payroll management, reservation management with online reservation capability and waiting list management. The project will have four deliverables, which
