Organizational EthicsOrganizational ethics refer to the principles by which leaders direct an organization. It may incorporate everything from employee ethics or organizational productivity and morale. Stakeholders and employees tend to follow their leader’s example. Even if there are ethics policies present, how these leaders drive the principles resonates throughout the organization. Notably, ethical decision-making is the core of business ethics and thus a need to sharpen these skills if morality is to be prevented and ethical management be achieved (Adla, et al, 2020). To create ethical work climates, leaders and managers must understand the factors present in the company that influence ethical behavior. There are a few things that a leader can do, beyond modeling ethical behavior, to improve the organization’s ethical climate. I have also observed these in an organization I have worked for. A leader can start by empowering his team members. If workers have an ethical code and control over their work results, they will want to justify a leader’s or manager’s trust in them to make correct choices (Carroll, 1990).
