He was born in San Francisco, California, to an Arab Syrian immigrant father, Abdulfattah Jandali, and an American mother, Joanne Schieble. The two gave him for adoption to Paul and Clara Jobs. His adoptive parents raised him in Mountain View, California, also known as the Silicon Valley for the great number of electronics companies coming up in the area, including the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) and Hewlett Packard. Jobs developed an interest in electronics while working at the Hewlett-Packard Explorer Club at the age of 12. He occasionally assembled items in his father's garage using parts that his father brought him (Isaacson, 2015). Professional Career Jobs had an on and off relationship with college education. While at Reed College in Portland, he dropped out to pursue a spiritual journey in India. In 1975, he met Steve Wozniak at the Homebrew Computer Club. Wozniak was an aspiring
