B., Green, M., Gergen, E., & Yu Sun. (2016) work titled: Exploring the Differences that Communication Medium has on Perception of Leadership Style: Does Communication Medium Affect the Leadership Rating of the Leader? The research is quasi-experimental research i.e. the research resembles experimental research but it is not true experimental research. The research does not qualify as true experimental research because although the independent variable is manipulated, the research participants were not randomly assigned to the treatment conditions. Random assignment was impossible because the research was not conducted in controlled conditions. The research does not have a pre-test and posttest because the dependent variable is measured only after the treatment is implemented. The pretest-posttest design would have made the research study a within-subjects experiment by testing the perception of the leadership style of each participant before and after the treatment condition.In the study under review, the independent variable is first manipulated before the perception of the leadership styleis measured.
