However, being a supervisor at a library has completely transformed my perception related to this type of job. So far, the most rewarding about being a supervisor is the fact that I get to interact with people from different lifestyles, both fellow workers and clients. I have learned how to handle different temperaments given that everyday is not the same in terms of how people will react towards you and situations presented. There are a number of negative and positive aspects of supervising other individuals. For instance, I am able to fairly analyze my team’s performance and see what they have been doing throughout a given time period or year. On the other hand, there is a possibility for the staff to feel insecure knowing that they are constantly being monitored and each of their activities is under management.
