There are two broad concepts of sin. The first concept is that of transgression which implies going beyond a set boundary or limit. Therefore sinners are described as transgressors. The second broad concept of sin is straying off the defined course or not continuing in the prescribed direction. Sin can therefore be described as transgressing the boundaries God has set human beings or to miss the target God has set.Sin is transgressing the law of God, in 1 John 3:4 the bibles says: “Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” (American King James Version). It is God’s law that defines acceptable behavior and actions, when a human being breaks God’s law her or she transgresses outside the bounds He has set.
