Deciding whether something is wrong or right depends on the character and way of life of a person. The fact that morality is not a law further adds to the complexity of distinguishing, between actions in terms of moral standing and perspectives. Therefore, in the debate of moral relativism versus moral absolutism, this paper will lean towards moral absolutism as the idea moral guide for the American society. Moral relativism as pointed by several philosophers, religious people, and any other person concerned with moral points of decision making refers to a moral theory that states that moral judgments differs across people and their cultures. People across societies differ, indeed, concerning what is exact moral. Therefore, moral relativism seeks to protect the right of people expressing their minds concerning what they think is moral.
