The purpose of this paper is to analyse the maturity of the business process practices of Saudi organisations. The paper looks at the outcomes of a survey of the business process management of Saudi organisations and the impact on productivity. Business processes should be well documented in terms of policies and procedures so that these policies and procedures can be followed for proper execution, only 20 of Saudi organisations have good process documentation for their organisations. About 40 of the organisations document their main processes frequently and 10 do not document their business processes, 30 of the businesses only document their business processes occasionally. Overall, only 30 of Saudi businesses have adequate business process documentation (AlShathry, 2016). Some organisations feel that they have matured enough and familiarized with business processes and therefore to not need to refer to any process documentation.
