When starting a new job many companies require a drug screening urinalysis. After gaining employment many companies require regular screening. Welfare recipients have never been required to have drug tests to acquire benefits. By passing stricter laws and rules, it would deter drug addicts from receiving welfare benefits, saving the government money. Overall it could help society as a whole by minimizing the amount of public funds being used to purchase illegal drugs.Regular drug testing would require recipients to stay drug free. In the long run, this could make them more employable, and motivate them to return to work.
