Guidance and Coaching focus on health, healing, and above all, wellness of the patient. It is vital for self-management of different disease processes, and better support/facilitate patient in decision making. Guidance viewed as a preliminary and less comprehensive type of Coaching (Hamric, Hanson, Tracy, & O'Grady, 2014). Coaching concentrate on empowering patient to manage their care needs. Coaching is administered by an individual while Guidance, installed within the decision support materials (Spross, 2016).Guidance and Coaching in the nursing advanced practice role differ from the RN role of teaching/coaching. An exquisite characteristic is that "Guidance" is done by the nurse (Hamric et al., 2014). The definition of RN for Guidance is to provide counsel through leading, directing, or advising; this term also exemplified as "Teaching." RN teaches patients during bedside conversation, equipped them with decision support materials (leaflets/handouts) Hamric et al., 2014). Guidance on the role Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is in the form of personal experiences, assessment, and information that is utilized to help patients and families to
