Organisational ethics refers to the application of ethical decisions as guided and influenced by standards, rules, norms, values and principles in organizational activities and business situations. Organizations stimulate organizational ethics by openly encouraging ethical leadership behavior in part this is as a reaction to media exposure of scandals relating to unethical behavior by organizational leaders. Ethics and trust are conjoined twins one cannot go without the other. Trust is a vital ingredient for a successful working relationship between leaders and followers. Trust encouragesflow of information,encouragescollaboration, sincerity and mutual acceptance (Argyris 1970) Trust is often considered a fruit of ethical behavior. Ethical leadership has been defined as “demonstration of normatively appropriate conduct through personal actions and interpersonal relationships, and the promotion of such conduct to followers through two-way communication, reinforcement, and decision making”
