Introduction:Coca-Cola is part of the beverage industry consisting of non-alcoholic, sweetened and non-sweetened, carbonated and non-carbonated beverages which are produced and distributed to retailers and distributors both domestically and internationally in varying packaging types and sizes. Coca cola is the industry leader of the beverage industry with PepsiCo falling a close second. Functioning in a market oligopoly with the industry titling towards the maturity stage ad and expected market growth of 3% it is expected that Coca cola will bring in the niche segmentation to all its factors .The mission statement of coca cola is to refresh the world in mind, body and spirit, to inspire moments of optimism through our brands and actions and to create value and make a difference everywhere we engageAnalysis and critique of the case:Coca Cola has been trying its best to remain the market leader of the beverage industry despite serious threats from PepsiCo. The sheer brand recognition and the leveraging that cola has in the market has helped it to spurn off its competitors.
