My short term goals include acquiring the right skills that would enable me to perform as an effective manager in a large organization. To achieve the goals, I am taking a course in business management, where I look forward to acquire skills in management and interpersonal skills. Education and looking at the way managers carry themselves in the market are the kind of activities that I am implementing to fulfill my goals. The main requirements and skills for a bachelor’s degree graduate for a position of a manager include great communication skills, rational thinking, competence, decision-making skills, and interpersonal skills (Vladimir 2009).The skills of a candidate with a bachelor’s degree to a candidate with an associate degree differ such that a lot is expected from a person with a bachelor’s degree. However, from a contemporary point of view many hiring managers look for talent and experience compared to being academic-oriented. Therefore, skills of a candidate with an associate degree for a
