Week 6 Check Point Short Case: OrganizationJeannie GilmoreUniversity of PhoenixAugust 23, 2013Week 6 Check Point Short Case: OrganizationTO: Senior ManagementFROM: Jeannie GilmoreIt is my sad displeasure to notify you that one of my employees has interfered with one of the bottling plants. It appears that 120,000 bottles of spring water has been tainted by a chemical that was launched into one of the machines. Due to the nature of the chemical present in small amounts, consumers will not experience any harm unless they ingest 10 gallons of the water per day over a long period of time. The machine has been decontaminated, so the risk of long term exposure has been removed. The major issue at present is the new ad campaign and the response has been extraordinarily optimistic. In order to get the situation rectified and under control, I have decided to discharge the worker that has caused this predicament. Next, I aim to be honest with the consumers about what is going on.
