Some environmental health hazards can be a result of natural phenomena such as cold weather, and drought that results in dust and floods, among others. Others are as a result of poor sanitation. In any of the cases, unfavorable environmental conditions result in health challenges for the people. Each unconducive condition poses a unique health risk to the people that requires proper planning, policies, and systems to ensure they are prevented, detected, and managed effectively. Poor quality of air resulting from air pollution and dust is the main environmental health problem in the community where I come from.
