The idea is that intelligence and ability is developed through education, effort and experience which is known as a growth mindset. However, in the terms of a fixed mindset aptitude and intelligence cannot be altered making it fixed and different from this discussion. Those who have a growth mindset mentality can accept challenges, they’re able to bounce back from a minor/major setback in life, and ultimately view any setbacks as a learning point than those with a fixed mindset (Mumme,2021). The qualities that come with a growth mindset are especially beneficial in advancing in your career, it allows you to reach your full potential. Having a growth mindset empowers an individual to be open to learning new skills as well as correcting their mistakes.
