Popular culture in my opinion, especially before this class were just what I thought were trends, what was hip, and what people thought were cool at the time. But I was incorrect in a way as I dove deeper into researching what popular culture actually was – it’s not just the trends, but the sources that they derived from as well. For example, televisions were a source of popular culture, not just the shows that are played on them.
