Examining how scribes affect emergency department doctors' time management methods is the goal of this study.This study aims to assess the effects of using scribes in the emergency department and determine how much time the medical professionals spend on these tasks during their shift. Analyzing whether scribes improve or worsen a provider's ability to manage their time across several areas is beneficial. The study centered on the amount of time spent with patients and on clerical data entry. Reducing the amount of paperwork can help reduce provider fatigue (Heaton et al., 2018).Research assistants observations make the study observational. “Four research assistants(RAs) were hired to observe and record activities throughout an entire shift” (Heaton et al.,2018). Through the use of an observational study approach, the research assistants were able to directly document their findings by watching the provider during a 24 8 hour control shifts both with and without a scribe.The data was collected using the quantitative and observational method.
