The symphony of Liszt's orchestration represents the chaos and terror that were part and parcel of the Four Horsemen's arrival, as if it were a dance of the dynamics of the instrumental tapestry that reflect the genius of the composer in the execution ofprogrammatic music. Moreover, I have chosen the second piece which is "Ride of the Valkyries" (1856) by Richard Wagner: It is the Act 3 of Wagner's Die Walküre, from the Ring Cycle, and this is the exciting orchestral part that depicts the Valkyries' adventurous journey of carrying the fallen heroes to Valhalla. Thundering, pounding drumbeats established by the orchestras and the brassy fanfare together with the loud brass section are behind the sense of urgency and grandeur which is developed through the use of leitmotifs and building up of music with various degreesof intensity, by Wagner.Common ThemeHeroic struggle and the ominous presence
