Vocabulary for Media Literacy 1. Noteworthy - attracting attention, interesting, significant, remarkable. 2. Nurturing - to take care for someone or something. 3. Inference - An idea or conclusion that's drawn from evidence and reasoning. 4. Media - mass communication tools that deliver information to the public (broadcasting, publishing, and the internet). 5. Bias - to have a strong and often unfair influence on (someone or something "There was evidence of bias against women, but we gonna fight it!" 6. Credibility - The quality of being believable or trustworthy. The workers have lost their credibility. 7. Source - a person who provides information or Google/Internet. 8. Algorithm - a set of rules that must be followed to complete a certain task. For example, if you comment, share, or like a piece of content, the algorithm will understand you enjoyed it and try to provide similar content. 9. Veracity - the quality of being true, honest, or accurate. "Police officer expressed doubts concerning the veracity of the story" 10. Propaganda - information of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote one specific point of view. "He is in jail now for distributing enemy propaganda"
