While learning about these functions there were a few references that popped into my head that this could be used for, such as aiding the development of a potential outcome of a race from past statistics. Quadratic functions are one of the best ways to see how math concepts can be used at different times in an individual equation. Some of the different concepts that are needed to have a quadratic function is solving equations, radicals, exponents and rules for order of operations have to be used when there are more than one variable. Multiple variables can affect the outcome of a function.This week’s assignment was to solve problem 56 on pages 666 and 667 of the text book. While working on this problem I will be looking at the overall shape of the graph as well as what it represents and where it is located in the Cartesian plane. I
