The family wasn't prepared for the circumstances they would find themselves in during the Martial Law. During this period, Marcos Sr. imposed curfews, police searches, and the dissolution of Congress. As Marcos Sr. announced Martial Law on television, we can see in the movie that the Bartolome family stared intently to their television set to watch the declaration, and this is where the drama really begins.
