Racism and its depiction in the ‘Get Out!’ film.Jordan Peele's Get Out film is rather a twisted explanation of how systematic and benevolent racism is stemmed in our societies. The protagonist, Chris ,goes through the test of time ,engages in a totally different community that hides their discriminative natures inside a series of fake well-mannered welcoming stances towards Chris. The film sends a message of objectification of the white community, and hence as their mechanism they give the blacks a sense of belonging that is filled with mudslinging phrases of how ‘important ‘ or how ‘special' they are in their own way. The film actually vacillates between double consciousness, on a flip of the coin we see the rot that is in the very much intended racism as shown by the white folks in the film, while on the other it portrays the whites enthralling encounters with the blacks. The film sends its message by depicting that racism is scary, but it doesn’t display the obvious lynching or raging hate racists have against the blacks.
