Employee wellness programs also commonly referred to as worksite wellness program involves the support given to employees’ health and safety among other employees well-being. Human resource experts state that employee wellness programs are aimed at improving staff health, staff productivity, and morale. An employee wellness program may include various components such as health risk assessments, health screening, fitness classes, workshops on wellness issues, and other relevant incentives (Berkeley, 2012). The employee wellness program is an important component among healthcare workers and especially those at the forefront of providing healthcare services. Thus, the need for wellness programs among healthcare providers is paramount; this paper seeks to describe the issue of employee wellness in healthcare settings and proposed solutions. Healthcare practitioners are a key resource to any successful healthcare facility and thus the need to ensure there is a framework in place that takes care of their wellness. Different studies
