[Name]Culture defines how a nation functions as a society. A nation’s culture defines how its people interact with each other. How a people interact with each other will shape the nation’s politics. In England, the psychological aspect of their culture is based on their history. England, up until World War Two, was the world’s great imperial super power. They held colonies all across the world and had one of the greatest navies in history. This history still affects the public’s perception of Great Britain as well as the government and elites today. They have always viewed themselves as the center of the world. Great Britain still believes that what they do in their nation largely affects the rest of the world. The Oxford and Cambridge elites of Great Britain also believe that they are the elites of the world, as would be the case in the 19th and early 20th centuries. This breeds a form of elitism unmatched anywhere else in the world. Socially and economically Britain has very structured divisions as far as who votes for which party. Unlike here in the United States where many members of the lower class will vote for the Republican Party as well
