What is your chosen human rights issue and how did it begin? My chosen human rights issue is Human Trafficking in Thailand. Human trafficking has always been a concern in history and has taken place in numerous parts of the world. It all started when people found out they could market other persons illegally in other states or countries in the world and effortlessly get away with it. 2.) Who does the issue affect and how? The issue concerns most of the people that reside in Thailand because theyre illegally sold as sex slaves. These people do not have freedom of speech and are basically forced into being sex slaves. 3.) How have the United States, other nations, and international organizations responded to the issue? The U.S. uses TIP, which is the Trafficking in Persons report. This includes resources on governmental tracking efforts. This can be used in other countries, and nations are all coming together to prevent this from happening safely and accurately.
