The Structures and Functions: Brain Map PaperPSY 323 Perception, Learning, and CognitionInstructor: Judith RottsolkApril 09, 2022The Structures and Functions: Brain Map PaperWhen looking at my brain map, you see the bubble for the brain directly in the center; the map is basically a two-dimensional version of the brain. The map is a way of visually organizing sections of the brain into its hierarchy which helps to show the relationships between each section of the brain. The yellow bubbles are the major sections or regions of the brain; the green bubbles that branch off from the yellow ones are sections that make up that central region. For example, one major region is the frontal lobe, and located within it is the motor cortex. The major regions that make up the brain are the occipital lobes, partial lobes, brainstem, cerebellum, frontal lobes, temporal lobes, and basal ganglia. Making a brain map and visually seeing each section of the brain and how it was connected helped me understand each
