Ethical factors, such as the importance of human life, the right to live,or an inhumane and degrading punishment against the accused. Most people, regardless of how vicious crime was committed, do not believe criminals deserve to die. It can fall under the eye for an eye concept or the social contract theory of retaliation. Analyzing the topic of capital punishment with the categorical imperative approach, or Kantian ethics, this topic does not constitute as moral law. Kantian ethics can be summarized as something you must always do no matter the situation, nor the outcomedo as to others, as youwould want to be done to you. Additionally, it would require everyone in the world to act in the same way. This is not the case with capital punishment. The idea of the death penalty is
