Monomyth Theory of Campbell Joseph I'm going to take you through the journey of a hero who encounters a supernatural aid .Before venturing into the specifics, the major three steps in the journey of the hero are initiation, separation and the return. This three steps make the story entertaining, interesting and provides room the story hero to grow. This story journey will mainly focus on how the hero encounters his supernatural aid which will be at the separation part. In his book “ The Hero With one Thousand Faces”(1949) Campbell was influenced by an analytical physiology Carl Jung’s to compare, analyze the monomyth and religions(Ahmed 2013) . The narrative patterns he describes are;A hero starts from the common day and then ventures into region of supernatural power. He encounters fabulous forces then victory is won.
