Western colonialism was when various European nations had explored, conquered, forcibly settled, and exploited countries worldwide. The whole purpose of colonialism was for economic profit, but as world history shows, it became known as another symbol. European colonialism became a representation of worldwide domination. It invades global cultures and establishes political and military control over indigenous populations. Nations such as Africa result from European colonialism and forced religious assimilation. Almost every country has experienced a form of European colonialism worldwide. This experience varies and has a variety of different perspectives on this issue. The memoir "Survival in Auschwitz" by Primo Levi and "Discourse on Colonialism" by Aime Cesaire are two events of European racism experienced in Germany and Africa. Exploring the similarities will discover how the manifestations of racism in Europe impacted the rest of the world and what resulted. Both literature pieces need to be analyzed separately to see the similarities between the two and see how the racist policies are and the outcome
