Community College University Earth and Science Climate Change Practice Essay Climate change is the most challenging environmental problem that we are facing today. It is define as the rise in average surface temperatures on Earth lasting from an extended period of time. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale that is why people must start being aware and take action for this problem. Overwhelming number of scientific evidences point out that the main cause of climate change are the human beings and that people claim that it is not a natural event because of this. Despite this, climate denialists continue to lead people into thinking that man-made climate change is still in question and that humans are not completely responsible for the said problem. According to NASA, the Earths climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 11,700 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era - and of human
