Gender-based violence implies harmful acts against an individual based on his or her gender. Gender violence is derived from harmful norms, gender inequality, and abuse of power. The victims of gender violence are seen as inferior humans by the aggressors. Moreover, gender-based violence occurs in a society irrespective of the racial, economic and social background of a given individual. The victims of
