ReflectionName:Institutional affiliationReflectionThis has been one of the most interesting courses in this program. Throughout the course I have learned various concepts related to managing human resource. Some of these concepts include setting smart goals, staffing, measuring performance and managing change. A few years ago, my friend and I started a little shoe company from our savings, and the company has grown fast enough. At the moment it employs 35 people, up from 5 when we started. The main activity is branding and marketing shoes imported from our Chinese supplier. The above concepts will help me to manage the human resource as the company expands to different parts of the company, and finally outside the country by 2022. Setting strategic goals According to Eden and Ackermann, a goal is “something that the group or an individual wants to achieve even if other goals are not met”. In my previous role at the company, I have always sat down with my employees and created goals of what we would like to achieve. However, most of these goals were vague, and would be forgotten by the beginning of the second month
