Motivation Is Complex Build Definitions

Motivation is a psychological feature that encourages a person to perform the task. It is the way that forces a person to full fill his needs and values by achieving defined goals. Motivation is a very important function that affects most the human behaviour. It does not only affect the cognitive factors like perception and learning but it affects the total performance of an individual in organisation. As according to Dubin, (1974) “Motivation is the complex forces starting and keeping a person at work in an organisation. Motivation is something that moves the person to action, and continues him in the course of action already initiated”. It is a very important factor to increase the morale and productivity of the employees at work. It encourages and keeps the person at work for achieving the predetermined objectives and gives the satisfaction to them for achieving their targets. There are various theories on motivation like Maslow’s need Hierarchy Theory, Herzberg’s Theory, and Vromm’s expectancy theory etc. These theories describes the different explanation.
