Therefore, due to the severity of the issue, all the three most current presidents had agendas that focused on reducing the cost of healthcare. President Bush focused more on reducing the cost of prescription drugs through the Medicare Modernization Act. Bush allocated a budget of $158 billion towards the program. President Obama was more ambitious than the other two presidents. He extremely caused an overhaul in the healthcare sector through the Affordable Care Act. Obama administration allocated $940 billion in 2010, but in 2012, the Congressional Budget office revised the budget to $1.8 trillion.
