My father left our family when I was still young and I never had the chance to meet him until I was 8-years-old. At age 7, my sister and I had to go live with relatives in Lebanon because my mother lost her job. Life in Lebanon was hard because my uncle did not have an amicable relationship with my mother. Barely a year in Lebanon, war broke out and at the tender age of 8 I was once again forced to move to Africa where I met my father for the first time. The re-union with my father lasted only 2 weeks when I learnt that my mother had re-married and I was required to return to the U.S. I had no idea that this new marriage would awaken my interest in dentistry.To a dentist the most important job is to make patient feel safe and provide them with the best care possible which is what I wanted to
