Week 1 discussionAcorda Therapeutic Inc. is my organization of choice for this week’s strategic plan. The company is in the biotechnology field, and its main focus is providing treatment options for patients with neurological issues. These treatments are used for managing conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease (Martin, 2015). Examples of these treatments include; Qutenza for neuropathic pain management and Ampyra for patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Acorda’smission statement is to develop therapies that will return the proper body functions of patients, and as such improve their lives significantly.One of the core values that govern Acorda’s operations is integrity (Alvarez‐Garrido & Dushnitsky, 2016). All the production processes and treatments are ethical so that the company can remain true to its mission statement, which is to provide quality products that will better the lives of people living with neurological deficits.
