We examine the implication of cross-cultural environment on team building and the behavioural theories that underlie human resource management in that environment. Ethnocentric approach to internationalisation comes with several challenges related to cultural dimension. The social interaction model posits that organisational knowledge cannot be transferred formally while the social identity theory helps us understand the difficulties cause by different group identities in team building.
